ANDREWS DENFORD & BOYD CHARITY PROJECT 2005

When we held our Directors meeting early in The New Year we wished to establish our business objectives for the year ahead. We are a young business, established in 1997 and have been fortunate enough to have the support of many loyal clients since inception. We specialise in representing tenants of commercial property, and have completed some exciting projects in recent years. As well as representing a number of small and medium size business’s we have also acted for some of the worlds largest, including GE (USA), Bechtel, Cendant Corporation, Atos Origin and BMW to name just a few. In 2003/2004, we completed the largest office transaction in London on behalf of Bechtel as well as many of the larger office projects in The M4 Corridor and South West Region of The M25.

We are still keen to grow our business through 2005, but wished to offer the opportunity for clients to participate in a project, which would assist charitable organisations where success is achieved.

Many clients are keen for us to link our fee structures in part on a success related basis. This might comprise a bonus fee for leasing accommodation within a given timescale, performance fees for savings at rent review or lease renewals, or meeting targets set in the process of a new acquisition.

We are happy to structure performance related fees but in 2005 we wished to offer new clients the opportunity of allocating up to 50% of any additional performance fee achieved to either the charity of their choice, or the one our firm has adopted, The Royal Free Cancer Research trust which is dear to our hearts.

We ask our clients to handle the payment process themselves, to reduce our audit processes and to enable the client to have control over the chosen recipient of the charitable donation.

The nature of performance fees are such that they need to be specifically tailored for each project after understanding the nature of the work involved coupled with the objectives of the client. We are confident we will be competitive when compared with our counterparts and have achieved considerable success on many projects we have handled. Testimonials are listed on our web site from some of our clients.
